CrisisLink Announces Julia Stephens as Executive Director

CrisisLink is pleased to announce that Ms. Julia Stephens has joined the organization as Executive Director effective December 27, 2011.   After conducting a thorough search the Board of Directors is pleased to have such an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Executive Director leading the staff and developing programs to continue CrisisLink's 42-year history of saving lives.

Paul Di Vito, President of the Board of Directors of CrisisLink stated, “Julia's extensive history of community-based programming coupled with her call center experience will enable her to build on the many successes at CrisisLink.  She’ll be developing new relationships within the community to identify and implement new endeavors to link those in need of critical services with regional providers.  Julia's background in overseeing therapeutic services locally at Northern Virginia Family Service, IONA Senior Services and similar organizations in Indiana and Kansas have prepared her for CrisisLink's volunteer-based crisis intervention and suicide prevention programs.   We welcome Julia Stephens as our new Executive Director and wish her well in her new role."

“I'm pleased to be a part of such a critical organization - there's nothing more important than saving lives and supporting community members through times of great stress and/or crisis.   I'm especially excited to expand our recent work to prevent teen bullying and look forward to helping our community in new and innovative ways.  CrisisLink has been a part of the Metro area for over 40 years -- I look forward to continuing our work well into the future”, said Julia.
