The Americanization of Mental Illness

This is one of the most interesting and important articles I've come across in some time. It should certainly be required reading for anyone considering a career in mental/behavioral health. As our communities become ever more culturally diverse, it behooves us to do our very best to offer support and treatment that's truly meaningful and appropriate for those in need of mental health services. And it all begins with a deeper understanding of and respect for each other's cultural assumptions and worldviews.
