Giving Warmth with 2-1-1 VIRGINIA

There is a chill in the air! It’s time to bundle up in your winter gear: coats, hats, scarves and gloves. Unfortunately, during these tough times, some families may not be able to afford these needed items.

CrisisLink provides information and referrals for local coat and clothing drives. This holiday season, Reston Interfaith, a CrisisLink Community partner, in conjunction with Fairfax County Supervisor Catherine M Hudgins (D-Hunter Mill) is holding the Hunter Mill Coat Closet coat drive for adults and children in need. Last year, the closet gave away over 5,000 coats. Residents are encouraged to donate new and gently used winter coats so that everyone can stay warm and toasty this winter.

Call CrisisLink by dialing 2-1-1 to get connected to the Hunter Mill Coat Closet and other resources in your area.

Make a Difference: Donate. Volunteer. Participate.

CrisisLink saves lives and prevents tragedies every day by providing those facing life crises, trauma, and suicide with support, information, and links to community resources. http://www.crisislink.org/.
