Azalea Charities Renews Partnership to Support Wounded Soldiers

Azalea Charities, Inc. has renewed its commitment to fund CrisisLink’s training program for the Call Center Representatives who staff the U.S. Army’s Wounded Soldier and Family Hotline. The Hotline provides injured soldiers and their families with the resources to obtain outpatient-related assistance and captures accurate information from soldiers and their families about the quality of their care, so that they may receive a prompt and thorough response to their concerns.

CrisisLink’s trainings in crisis de-escalation, suicide assessment and prevention, effective communication skills, and active listening are essential components of the training program for the Wounded Soldier and Family Hotline staff and help ensure soldiers and their families in crisis get the help they need.

CrisisLink conducts numerous stress relief, depression awareness, and suicide prevention workshops throughout the region to educate students, parents, teachers, and community members how to recognize, and react to, the warning signs of stress, depression, and suicide. For more information on CrisisLink’s community education initiatives, please contact Mary Azoy, Director of Community Education & Crisis Response electronically or by phone at 703-516-6771.
