CrisisLink Offers Stress-Relief Workshops for Troubled Times
"Stressed" Spelled Backwards
…is "desserts!" We couldn’t even live without some degree of stress. But most of us would agree that during these days we could do with a lot less of it. From tanking 401Ks and lay-offs to dire economic predictions and global terrorism – all these things, plus workplace conflicts and family tensions, can take a real toll on our ability to navigate and cope in our own lives.
This 1-hour (stress-free!) workshop uses simple exercises and techniques to help you explore the particular sources of your own stress, how you respond to it, and how you can improve your basic coping skills to create more energy, creativity and resilience in your life. And in so doing you’ll learn how to take care of yourself during these troubled times and make the most of your "desserts!"

"Pumping Pens, Not Iron": Building Inner Strength through Poetry and Prose
Renewing your creative energy at work can make the difference between thriving and burnout – especially during these uncertain and stressful economic times. Breaking out of the box and learning to express ourselves is one of the best ways to renew this energy and develop resiliency.
Come break out of your stress and unleash your creativity with this 1-hour workshop that explores and develops your untapped resources and resilience with low-risk poetry exercises and journaling techniques to help you take care of yourself - both on and off the job. The focus is the process of self-exploration rather than some sort of publishable written product. In the very act of exploring and articulating some of our deepest passions, fear, grief, and dreams, we begin to identify and to strengthen our own inner resources. Quote: It is the stories that will bring us back together.
